TL;DR
- PhoneBurner is the specialist choice for deliberate, single-line power sessions. Professional adds browser softphone and coaching; Premium adds in-app callback handling. Its higher seat cost needs enough calling time to earn its place.
- Kixie is the stronger shortlist choice when multi-line calling, CRM-driven activity and inbound queues belong in one workflow. Its current public offer lists up to four simultaneous lines. Prices are quoted, and human detection is identified as a premium add-on.
- JustCall Pro is the economical starting point for a two-or-more-rep team wanting power dialing and Salesforce alongside a business phone system. Pro is $49/user/month annually or $69 monthly, with two licences minimum.
- Choose the dialing mode before comparing prices. Single-line power dialing and parallel dialing are different purchases; a higher attempt count alone does not establish more useful conversations.
The practical difference
A power dialer works through a calling list for a human rep. In a single-line session, one prospect is called at a time. The rep retains a clear relationship between the current record, its outcome and the next action. Parallel dialing places several calls while the rep is available and routes an answer to them. It can reduce waiting on low-answer lists, but simultaneous answers and detection behaviour become part of the buying decision.
PhoneBurner is explicitly a single-line product. Kixie offers single- and multi-line plans. JustCall has several Sales Dialer modes, but the supported budget comparison here uses Pro with Power Dialer, rather than assigning every advanced mode to that price.
This is a human-sales comparison. These products help reps call, record outcomes and follow up; they are not interchangeable with an autonomous voice agent handling the entire conversation.
Side by side
US-dollar prices below were checked on 30 September 2026. Annual prices are monthly allocations of an annual commitment. The totals later in the article compare licence components, rather than assuming identical numbers, international calling or message allowances.
| Buying dimension | PhoneBurner | Kixie | JustCall |
|---|---|---|---|
| Calling mode used here | Single-line power dialing | Single-Line or Multi-Line PowerDialer; current public Multi-Line offer up to four lines | Pro-qualified Power Dialer; advanced modes are separate eligibility decisions |
| Published base | Standard $140 annual/$165 monthly; Professional $165/$195; Premium $183/$215 per user/month | Quoted; current page publishes plan scope without a seat price | Pro $49 annual/$69 monthly per user; two-seat minimum |
| Relevant upgrade | Professional for browser softphone and coaching; Premium for in-app callbacks | Multi-Line for parallel calling; human detection and other premium options affect the purchase | Different Sales Dialer entitlement for predictive/dynamic calling |
| Phone workflow | Premium includes dedicated number and inbound routing | Core phone service and inbound queues across current plans | Ordinary phone system plus a separate Sales Dialer number assignment |
| Best fit | Reps spending substantial time in prepared calling sessions | CRM-centred teams wanting parallel outbound and structured inbound | Smaller teams wanting a lower published power-dialing base and a wider phone workflow |
| Poor fit | Buying only for occasional click-to-call or requiring parallel dialing | Buying solely on an assumed cheap seat price | Assuming one number simultaneously serves both number systems or every mode is included on Pro |
PhoneBurner
Where it earns its premium
PhoneBurner suits teams whose rep already knows whom to call and needs a smooth session: open the record, speak, mark the outcome, leave a voicemail or send follow-up, and move on. Its single-line design is especially relevant when the rep needs to understand each account before speaking. The vendor describes connections without the transfer pause associated with some multi-line designs; that is a product claim, rather than a measured superiority result in this comparison. PhoneBurner power dialer.
Standard includes the core dialer. Professional is $165/user/month annually or $195 monthly and adds browser softphone, noise cancellation, live monitoring/coaching and Open API. Premium is $183 annually or $215 monthly, adding a PhoneBurner number, inbound routing, in-app callbacks, transcription and AI notes. Standard is $140 annually or $165 monthly. PhoneBurner pricing.
Professional is the sensible baseline for a team wanting browser-based calling and manager coaching. Premium is the better comparison when a rep must answer return calls inside the same application. Standard can suit a caller retaining a separate phone arrangement, but it should not be described as the same browser-and-callback package at a discount.
CRM and fit
PhoneBurner has its own contact-management workflow and a native Salesforce app. The app is free to install; the PhoneBurner and Salesforce subscriptions still cost money. Its Salesforce integration supports dialing and recording the work against CRM records. Salesforce integration.
Choose it when session efficiency and repeatable dispositions are worth a specialist seat. Do not choose it to obtain parallel dialing, or to replace a lightly used business phone at the lowest possible monthly cost. The case is strongest when callers use it consistently, rather than buying a licence for every employee who occasionally calls a prospect.
Kixie
A broader calling workflow
Kixie's current plans include phone service, CRM integration, texting, voicemail drop, coaching and inbound routing. Professional is the manual calling tier; Single-Line adds list dialing; Multi-Line currently advertises up to four simultaneous lines. Its page explicitly identifies human voice detection as a premium add-on, despite the feature table showing it under Multi-Line. Budget it as an option rather than silently including it. Kixie plans.
Support documentation also describes ten-line configurations. For a new purchase, the four-line current public package is the clearest baseline; ten lines are a documented configuration, not an entitlement assumed for every Multi-Line seat. This does not change the recommendation: Kixie is the parallel option on this shortlist. PowerList setup.
Managers can create team PowerLists, while personal lists can be allowed or disabled. That makes Kixie useful when the list, rep assignment and calling activity need to live in a managed CRM workflow. It is a stronger fit than PhoneBurner when reducing unanswered-call waiting is a central requirement and the team wants a multi-line option.
Pricing basis and fit
The current public page gives no dollar seat price. Treat Kixie as a quoted package of the selected dialing tier and options. Its billing guide describes a $50 prepaid reserve, including for unlimited-minute accounts, with replenishment when the balance falls below $25. That reserve funds chargeable usage; it is not an extra $50 recurring subscription in the budget below. SMS and some calling rates draw from it. Billing basis.
Kixie fits a team combining outbound campaigns with inbound queues, CRM activity and manager oversight. It is less attractive if the buyer only needs inexpensive single-line sessions and will not use the integrated phone workflow. Multi-line capability makes it a serious contender, but neither the line count nor caller-ID features establish a particular connect-rate improvement.
JustCall
A lower published entry into power dialing
JustCall Pro costs $49/user/month annually or $69 monthly, with two licences minimum. Pro qualifies for Sales Dialer power dialing and the current pricing page includes Salesforce CTI. That is a meaningful package for two or more reps who need calling, CRM logging and ordinary business-phone functions without PhoneBurner's specialist seat cost. Plan costs, minimum licences, Sales Dialer eligibility, current features.
The Pro recommendation is for power dialing. A team whose purchase depends on predictive or dynamic dialing should compare the corresponding qualifying Sales Dialer package, rather than extrapolating those capabilities from Pro's price.
The number boundary matters
A number cannot be assigned simultaneously to ordinary JustCall and Sales Dialer. That affects where replies arrive and which application owns SMS. A recently documented incoming-call setting can keep ordinary JustCall inbound work available during eligible Sales Dialer availability, but it does not merge the number systems. Number assignment, incoming calls while busy.
JustCall is a good fit for a team comfortable assigning campaign numbers and ordinary shared numbers deliberately. It is a poor fit for an unplanned migration in which a single familiar number is expected to work identically across both applications. Current qualifying US/Canada bundles differ from legacy plans, and Sales Dialer inbound or forwarding charges can still apply; the licence total is not a blanket worldwide calling total. Current versus legacy plans, billing exclusions.
CRM and callback ownership
The practical integration question is where a conversation appears and who owns the next call. Three useful differences are:
| Product | Useful documented behaviour | Buying implication |
|---|---|---|
| PhoneBurner | Native Salesforce dialing and activity workflow; Premium can answer a callback and resume a session | Choose the tier that preserves the rep's complete session, including return calls |
| Kixie | Salesforce call activity starts at Lead/Contact and can associate with Account and the most recent linked Opportunity | Match this to your opportunity reporting; multiple opportunities are not an arbitrary buyer-selected attribution |
| JustCall | Calls normally log as Tasks; settings can associate with Opportunity/Case or create Cases; Sales Dialer exposes integration sync logs | Decide the reporting object and avoid confusing a successful call with a successful CRM write |
Kixie's Salesforce setup requires at least Professional edition with API integration. For phone-number matching across duplicate Leads/Contacts, its documentation uses the last referenced record, preferring Contact when both types exist. That matters if the same switchboard number is stored on many records. Kixie Salesforce behaviour.
JustCall's logging options and integration logs make the outcome visible beyond the dialer. Keep one deliberate automation for a disposition such as “call back tomorrow,” rather than creating both a new campaign retry and a duplicate CRM task. Salesforce capabilities, Sales Dialer integration logs.
Number continuity deserves the same attention. Kixie documents typical ports of seven to ten business days, carrier dependent, with temporary forwarding possible before completion. PhoneBurner Premium provides an inbound callback workflow. JustCall requires deliberate number assignment. Preserve callback ownership while the outbound session changes; otherwise a faster dialer can create more unanswered return calls. Kixie porting, PhoneBurner inbound.
A five-rep budget
Assume five reps each make 80 attempts on 20 working days: 8,000 monthly attempts. At an illustrative 8% useful-conversation rate, that produces 640 conversations. This holds the workload and result constant for a budget comparison; it is not a product test.
| Purchase | Annual-billing monthly licence allocation | Annual licence cash commitment | Licence component per assumed conversation |
|---|---|---|---|
| JustCall Pro, five seats | $245 | $2,940 | $0.38 |
| PhoneBurner Professional, five seats | $825 | $9,900 | $1.29 |
| PhoneBurner Premium, five seats | $915 | $10,980 | $1.43 |
| Kixie selected package | Quoted amount K | Depends on agreed term | K ÷ 640 |
Professional costs $580/month more than JustCall Pro in this base comparison. At $50/hour of rep capacity, it needs 11.6 hours of monthly value to offset that difference. Spread over 8,000 attempts, that is 5.22 seconds per attempt. Premium's $670 difference needs 13.4 hours, or 6.03 seconds per attempt. That value could come from faster follow-up, fewer lost callbacks or reduced administration; it does not have to come from dialing alone.
Both JustCall and PhoneBurner have single-line options, so assume neither saves those seconds automatically. A buyer who already handles outcomes efficiently in JustCall may obtain little incremental benefit from PhoneBurner. A heavy caller whose workflow becomes noticeably simpler has a more plausible case.
For Kixie, use the actual configured monthly quote K without inventing a market average. An illustrative $600 quote, purely for calculation, would cost $355 more than JustCall Pro. That requires 7.1 hours of capacity value at $50/hour. If instead it creates 40 additional useful conversations and 10% become accepted meetings, the incremental licence component is $355 ÷ 4 = $88.75 per additional meeting. Those four meetings are an assumption, not a promised output of four-line dialing.
This budget excludes extra numbers, SMS, chargeable destinations, optional detection/reputation products, taxes, CRM subscriptions and migration. Kixie's reserve is prepaid usage funding and should not be counted twice as both a fee and the later usage it pays for. Freed rep time is capacity value; it becomes cash savings only if the team actually changes staffing or paid hours.
A monthly commitment also changes the base comparison: five JustCall Pro seats are $345; PhoneBurner Professional is $975 and Premium $1,075. Annual billing reduces the monthly allocation but increases the commitment. Buy the workflow you expect to keep, rather than using an annual discount to excuse a poor fit.
Which one to choose
Choose JustCall Pro first for a budget-sensitive team of two or more reps wanting single-line campaign calling alongside a phone system. It has the clearest low published base here. Assign numbers and callbacks deliberately, and use the CRM logging configuration that supports your reporting.
Choose PhoneBurner Professional when the rep spends substantial time in structured power sessions and browser calling, coaching and follow-up are the main sources of value. Choose Premium when in-app return calls are part of that session. Its cost premium is credible when workflow savings exceed the small per-attempt thresholds above.
Choose Kixie Multi-Line when waiting on unanswered numbers is a major constraint and the team wants parallel dialing plus CRM and inbound routing. Single-Line is also relevant when the broader Kixie workflow fits but parallel calling does not. The recommendation survives an unpublished price: its distinctive reason to buy is multi-line workflow, and the quote must earn its place against the team's conversation economics.
Keep the list and follow-up design coherent using the signal-based outbound playbook. More attempts help only when the people reached are relevant and a useful next action follows the conversation.
FAQ
Is PhoneBurner a parallel dialer?
No. It is a single-line power dialer. That design suits deliberate rep-led sessions, but does not supply Kixie's multi-line mode.
Does Kixie include ten lines on every Multi-Line seat?
The current public offer advertises up to four. Support documentation describes ten-line configurations; they should not be assumed to be the standard current purchase.
Is JustCall Pro enough for this comparison?
Yes, for power dialing with its qualifying CRM and phone workflow. Predictive or dynamic dialing is a separate entitlement decision.
Which has the lowest published five-rep licence cost?
JustCall Pro at $245/month on annual billing. Kixie does not publish a current seat price, and usage or number costs can change the overall bill.
Does the lowest licence cost always win?
No. PhoneBurner's higher base can pay for itself through useful workflow savings, while Kixie's parallel calling can be worthwhile on a suitable list. Compare accepted conversations and follow-up ownership alongside the subscription.
