TL;DR
- Evaluate Impartner for a broad channel lifecycle, Unifyr for the current offering reached through Zift's website, Channelscaler for the current offering reached through Allbound, and Channeltivity for a focused PRM purchase.
- Buy tier rules, registration ownership and access controls before buying a more attractive portal. A multi-tier channel needs to represent distributors and resellers without exposing one partner's pipeline to another.
- Compare the complete contract, including CRM integration, training, incentives, implementation and administration. Historical ZiftONE or Allbound prices are not current quotes.
- For 100 partners and 500 registered deals, exception handling and partner adoption matter more than the login count.
The channel model comes before the portal
A distributor, reseller, referral partner and implementation partner do not need the same rights. Their incentives and customer relationships differ. A multi-tier programme must represent those differences in registration, approval, training and commercial access.
Write the operating rules first. Who owns a registered deal? Can a distributor see a reseller's end customer? How long does protection last? Which evidence resolves two partners claiming the same account? What happens when a partner drops a tier or loses certification?
The PRM implements those rules and gives partners a usable place to work. It cannot settle an undefined commercial policy. A portal that sends every exception to a channel manager may simply reproduce the old spreadsheet with a new interface.
For partner account research, use the ABM sales research guide. This decision concerns channel operations rather than identifying co-selling overlaps.
Four current procurement routes
| Route | Strong buying reason | Scope to price | Main non-fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Impartner | Broad partner lifecycle, registration and programme management | PRM, marketing, training, funds, integrations and services | Small programme needing only a registration form |
| Unifyr, via the Zift route | Partner ecosystem and marketing operations | Current platform, legacy continuity and required modules | Assuming old ZiftONE terms describe the new contract |
| Channelscaler, via the Allbound route | PRM and channel programme automation | Current products, migration and incentives scope | Buying from an obsolete standalone comparison |
| Channeltivity | Focused PRM with an explicit pricing/product route | CRM edition, modules and implementation | Complex hierarchy not demonstrated in the proposed package |
Public pages were checked on 6 October 2026. Website redirects are evidence of a changed procurement route, not proof that every legacy feature or contract has disappeared. No comparable complete quote was established for these four deployments.
Impartner for a broader lifecycle
Impartner's current platform lists partner lifecycle management, deal registration/CRM pipeline integration, training and certification, market development funds, tiering and reporting. That breadth makes it worth evaluating for a channel programme with several operational owners.
The advantage is connecting onboarding, eligibility and deal activity. A registration can depend on partner status rather than a channel manager checking a separate workbook. Training and tier evidence can inform access, provided the programme rules are correctly implemented.
Choose Impartner when the wider lifecycle justifies a platform and someone owns its configuration. It is a weak fit for a small referral programme needing little more than a form and CRM workflow. Its site provides product-specific pricing routes; obtain the selected modules and implementation as one scope. Do not infer that every capability named on the homepage is included in an entry package. A demonstration should show distributor/reseller visibility and a disputed registration, not only onboarding.
Zift and the current Unifyr route
The Zift Solutions website redirected to Unifyr during this research. The current public proposition is partner ecosystem management. Buyers familiar with ZiftONE should confirm the supported product, migration and commercial terms rather than assume the historical brand still describes the order form.
This route is relevant when channel marketing and partner engagement are major parts of the problem alongside registration. Evaluate how the current package connects partner activity with your CRM and whether programme owners can manage the required campaigns and content.
It is a poor choice to make solely from a legacy Zift feature comparison. Public access did not establish every legacy entitlement, so none is represented as absent. Price the current platform and required integrations, managed services and migration separately. For an existing deployment, continuity of partner access and retained registration history can matter more than a new feature list.
Allbound and the current Channelscaler route
The Allbound website redirected to Channelscaler, whose current site presents PRM and channel programme automation. This changes how a new buyer should structure the shortlist: inspect the current suite and clarify what happens to the legacy Allbound environment.
The procurement attraction is managing partner programme work within a wider channel offering. For this multi-tier decision, insist on the actual hierarchy, entitlement and registration logic you need. A generic partner experience demonstration will not show whether a distributor can work safely with multiple resellers.
Choose this route when its current products and programme scope match the channel operating model. Avoid assuming that a broader suite automatically reduces administration or that every old Allbound capability maps one-to-one. No scope-comparable price was verified here. Include migration, CRM mappings, incentive administration and support where relevant, and record the supported product names in the contract.
Channeltivity for a focused PRM
Channeltivity's pricing page provides a direct route to scope its PRM product. It is a useful candidate when the team wants a focused channel system rather than a broad transformation across marketing, incentives and commercial tooling.
The buying appeal is reducing the gap between partner registration and internal channel operations. Evaluate the proposed CRM integration, access roles and modules against your programme. A simpler platform can be easier to adopt, but simplicity is valuable only if it supports the required distributor/reseller relationships.
Choose it for a defined PRM requirement with manageable complexity. Do not force a complicated multi-tier entitlement model into a product that has not demonstrated it. The accessible pricing extract did not yield a defensible current package amount, so this guide does not reproduce a historical figure or label the product quote-only. Obtain the current CRM edition, module allowances, billing term and setup fees before comparing it with a larger platform.
Resolve 500 registrations without channel conflict
For 100 partners and 500 registrations, the average is five deals per partner, but the distribution may be highly uneven. Define account identity, territory, product and protection dates for each registration. Two partners naming the same parent company may serve different subsidiaries or product lines.
In a hypothetical programme, 450 registrations follow the standard policy and 50 require review. A channel manager should see why each exception exists: duplicate claim, missing evidence, expired certification or non-standard commercial terms. Do not create one unstructured “approval required” queue.
Require a decision reason and preserve the original claim. Where protection expires, notify the partner and update CRM rights deliberately. If a partner loses certification, the system should apply the agreed rule without silently deleting active deal history.
Test a distributor with two resellers, a reseller moving tiers and two partners claiming the same customer. Verify visibility with separate partner accounts. A screenshot from an administrator does not prove restricted access works.
The RevOps CRM setup playbook helps define the internal account and ownership fields. Use the digital sales room guide for buyer-facing collaboration after registration, rather than use the partner portal as a customer room by default.
Budget adoption and administration
If each of 50 exceptions takes 20 minutes to resolve, that is 16 hours and 40 minutes. At an assumed £45 loaded hourly cost, the initial review cost is £750. Add partner onboarding, content upkeep, CRM administration and licence fees. These are hypothetical workload figures, not vendor productivity results.
Track registered deals with complete data, time to decision and active partner participation. A portal with 100 accounts but only ten regular users may still be appropriate if those ten generate most of the channel activity. Conversely, a high login count may reflect compulsory training without useful sales work.
For a broad programme, Impartner merits the first detailed demonstration. Compare current Unifyr and Channelscaler offerings where marketing or wider channel automation matters. Keep Channeltivity in the evaluation where a focused PRM may meet the requirement economically. The RevOps platform guide covers the wider reporting estate; it does not replace channel-specific rules.
FAQ
Can the CRM alone manage a partner programme?
A small programme may need only a CRM form and disciplined internal workflow. A PRM becomes more useful when partners need self-service access, training, registrations and differentiated rights. Compare the external-user experience and maintenance burden, not just the number of CRM objects.
Should every partner see every registered account?
No. Visibility should follow the programme agreement and role. Demonstrate distributor, reseller and internal access separately, including exports and reports. A hierarchy field alone does not establish safe permissions.
What should existing Zift or Allbound buyers check first?
Confirm supported product names, migration dates, retained registrations, partner access and current commercial entitlements. The redirects justify a continuity check; they do not establish that a legacy contract is invalid or that every feature has changed.
Is deal registration the same as partner attribution?
No. Registration records a claim and its treatment under channel policy. Attribution describes the partner's role in creating or influencing revenue. Preserve both definitions so a protected deal does not automatically become partner-sourced in management reporting.
